I bought the new Care CD, but I have no interest buying the re-released vinyl, as I have the original release. I bought Life In the Loading Bay, both standard CD and the box, as the box offered me a chance to get something special whilst supporting the artist. So me, and many other fans, probably buy "more than we need" just because we like the Artist, all depending on the level of attraction the release itself have to the individual. And I love the 12" format as it provides a proper size of artwork. My favorite format these days is Albums on vinyl with the CD included.
The high production values of the music demand a vinyl format. Vinyl would allow audiophiles the rare chance to experience a three-dimensional soundscape in its natural habitat!
Ignore the neighsayers.... YES TO VINYL.... seriously, please release the new album on vinyl!!!
I would buy the vinyl version

Yes, I would buy vinyl, so long as it came with a download code for easy loading onto my non-analogue devices.

No. I do not have a turntable, will not buy a turntable and don't even buy CDs anymore. What I *do* have, however, is dollars, a desire to spend them on Shriekback music and lots of bandwidth with which to download legally purchased music like Sheikback music. If buying vinyl is the new shibboleth for being a sufficiently ardent fan, then I fear a whole lot of people like me are going to fail the test and the lovely people at Shrieks HQ won't get the dollars I am trying very, very hard to give them.
