Show Your Support for Lillian Boatwright

I’ve known Ms. Boatwright since the day she was born. She is and always has been above board, dedicated and committed in her service to others. It’s a damn shame that this Board does not want equitable representation for all the citizens of Pickens County-just for those who vote red. It seems like our current political climate and leadership has emboldened those hell-bent on bullying.

This has to be stopped.

No misconduct on Ms. Boatwright's part whatsoever. Republicans like the current ones on the Pickens County Board of Elections give the rest of the party members a bad name.

Ms. Boatwright is an upstanding member of our community with more than enough qualifications to hold this position. This is an unjustified attack.

Lillian is an honest and fair-minded individual who does not allow her personal political opinions to interfere with her professionally and any suggestions otherwise are ridiculous.

Ms. Boatwright has incredible professional integrity and would never let her political views influence her duty.

This is ridiculous and this petition should be unnecessary. There is no valid reason to have her removed.

As a Pickens County resident, I support Lillian Boatwright to continue serving on the Pickens County Board of Elections. I oppose am disgusted with the smear tactics by Republican operatives, who fail to respect a clean and fair election. Meanwhile, Davey Hiott and Rex Rice have violated South Carolina election law 7-5-10 as well as the Open Meeting Law to further undermine our elections in Pickens County, South Carolina.

I fully support Ms. Boatwright. She is being targeted unfairly because she brings a new perspective to the county. She is a principled and caring citizen.

I am a Pickens County resident, not party-affiliated(independent) but I tend to lean progressive. When I found out about the Board of Voter Registration and Elections quitting all at once in April, I had concern, until this board was quickly hired, our primaries were carried out -with some adjustments to polling places, but my trust in them was validated. That trust included Ms Boatwright who is currently unreasonably having her character questioned because she is not a conservative. The opposition to her does not have my trust as they blatantly lie simply to gain a fear-driven popular opinion. Please retain Ms Boatwright on the Board of Voter Registration and Elections, to maintain trust and faith in our county's elections through these already exceptional times.

Lillian is fair, honest, and just. She cares about the people, ALL people. I am proud to know her personally and know of how much good she does for the community.

I support Ms Boatwright’s dedication in working to make Pickens county a place where all are represented fairly. Please ensure that South Carolina and Pickens County in particular is one where differences are respected. Thank you in advance.
