My son attends school with him an this is a vary bad mistake and I know his family and I'm vary sure he's not a threat to anyone

We all do stupid things! They shouldn't ruin our lives forever! Kole is a good kid with a heart of gold, and I know he would take it all back if he could. While everyone else is posting their cute back to school pictures he thought it would be funny to change his up a bit. I love this kid and love his family! They do a lot to support our family and their community.

I have 4 children who all attend GCCS. I am a teacher in a neighboring county. When I received the text regarding the incident my heart dropped and I felt nervous and anxious because my kids were already at school and I was at work. Later that evening when I found out Kole was the student involved, a feeling of relief overtook my body. I felt there was not a true threat because I knew the family's background involving guns. I had a strong feeling that the picture and hashtag had a different meaning than was taken. As a parent I do not feel there is a threat involving Kole and I feel that my kids are safe at school. I hope he is released sooner rather than later and can be back in our great county with his family. Continued prayers for the Perry family!

I personally do not know this family or this child, but I do know that God has granted me Grace many times. I believe in my heart that this child deserves Grace and Mercy too. Love one another as Christ has loved us.
