This child is one of mines best friends and my son goes to there home often, he is not a threat of any kind and actually my child by being friends with this family has helped him in many ways, I support the Perry family and pray for Cole to come home soon.

I was raised in Glascock County and graduated from GCCS! Unfortunately when something like this happens in a small town, stories begin spreading like wildfire! Even my first thoughts were “this kid is a troubled teen!” After reading this account of what happened, I’m convinced it was a foolish mistake! A mistake none the less and certainly poor judgment considering the national climate right now! I still believe that God would have us extend mercy, grace, and forgiveness to this young man! He made a mistake! The reaction of the law seems very punitive considering he never made a direct threat to do harm. Please get all the facts before condemning such a young man in a way that could affect the rest of his life. As God forgives us, so ought we forgive one another! If you’re not sure, pray and I mean really pray and ask God’s guidance before you condemn this young man in your heart! Father God, I pray that you will guide Kole and his family through this situation and You oh Lord will lead them to the outcome You will for this young man! Amen.

Kole may have made a stupid choice of words but he is not a bad kid. Kole has been raised by a well respected family. To know them is to love them

Kole Perry is a very good kid !!! I have know this child and his wonderful family for years now and have been to their home and broke bread with them several times and I can honestly say that they are a wonderful god loving family!! He made a mistake and this kid is not a threat to anyone period!!!! He loves his family and his friends he loves sports and he works very hard in all things that he does ! He has never been in trouble before and it is ridiculous and an outrage that he is being punched when I have been in the juvenile courtroom and they send drug dealers, gang members, and DUI’s children and much worse kids that have been in so much trouble before home with their family with a slap on the wrist but Kole did a stupid hashtag and gets thrown in YDC and can’t come back and be with people who love and support him this is not right and absolutely ridiculous!!! Kole we love you and praying for you and we will support you Son
