The will be an amazing tourist attraction for Shaunavon in the years to come, bringing visitors and economic injections into the local economy. It is worthy of receiving a tax break.

I am all for this petition to get tax relief during the restoration phase of the building. Once revenue starts coming in that tax relief can be clawed back.

If it is at all possible, the town should consider giving Kent a break on the taxes on the hotel he is renovating. He is also paying house taxes in Shaunavon. That should be enough. He wants to put the tax money into more renovations so it is done quicker. Once the building is up and running, taxes can be reinstated.

Please give Kent a break on his property taxes. He is doing a fantastic job of renewing this property and garnering a lot of interest. It’s disgraceful that the town council isn’t supporting his efforts.

What this man is doing is Comendable. This will be a tourist attraction. Sad that they don't want change. Me as a new comer to Shaunavon "I say you should be welcoming not evasive. New people will keep this place going.

Help Kent preserve a beautiful piece of SK history by exempting him from property taxes

Council not returning an answer to your request is very disrespectful! Possibly they forget that they are in that position because they are there to support the community !

I cannot see why you wouldn't help this man renovate the building. It has been in disrepair for decades and has a history. A definite bonus for Shaunavon.
