Show Support for the Grand Hotel Restoration by way of Tax Relief

What a treasure this hotel is. It could have been demolished but instead a guardian angel came to rescue it with love and care. Surely being a heritage building that will shine for years and years there should be help with a grant to pay the property taxes.

This type of historical restoration is directly related to increases in tourism and local jobs.

Please encourage revitalization through supporting heritage restoration and other ventures; a tax incentive program for commercial heritage buildings that are being restored is a good step.

I applaud the efforts to restore the Grand Hotel in Shaunavon to its historical state. Amazing work which should be encouraged and supported.

Tax relief for heritage restoration projects makes sense. Think what it would cost the municipality to tear it down!

This project is a huge asset for the town. I visited last year and the downtown will be enhanced by this restoration.

I believe these projects are a valuable asset and service to our province.

Council wants revenue for their spending but unwilling to provide short term assistance to assist an entrepreneur to renovate a historic building in their community. Council obviously doesn't realize that with the exposure/updates of the restoration hundreds of people will be visiting the community of Shaunavon bringing much needed tourism, employment. Community of Shaunavon council is acting like a dog in a manger with their attitudes. Smarten up! Stated from a transplanted Sask woman.

Grew up around shaunavon and this is a great addition to the community. To restore historic value and bring back to life and to be able to operate is a rare penny in a pile of Pennie’s. Shaunavon needs this, and so does Saskatchewan.
