Let's support folks willing to sink money in not only preserving history but eventually bring revenue into small municipalities.

As an owner of a historic building with ongoing repairs and restoration I believe this is a great idea. We need to preserve our heritage building s instead of destroying for new ones. When we decide to take on these projects it’s out of sheer determination to preserve these gems on the prairies, to keep our towns and cites beautiful with diverse architecture!

This place is going to bring in so much other revenue to town, a tax break is needed.

This is an amazing restoration. The town should be happy to provide tax relief to support this project. It will be of great benefit to the community.

There should be help for those saving and preserving heritage buildings. I "write" from Ottawa, where I strongly support such an initiative.

The restoration of this hotel is putting your town on the map. It’s being kept period style and is a labour of love. Wouldn’t you rather have tourism income from this project as opposed to tax that threatens the continuation of this project!?

It's to bad town can't see all the befits that can come from all your hard work. One more attraction for our little town It also helps beautify some these lost buildings. Feel like they should be encouraging people & these projects Not discouraging them .

Just makes sense Rejuvenate existing building instead of rebuilds if appropriate. Important steps for tourism, community pride, historical preservation

This is such a great thing for the Town of Shaunavon. A huge undertaking by the new owner. Tax incentives from the town are a no brainer to aid this property owner in bringing the Grand Hotel back to life.

The council of Shaunavon should be pleased that someone is taking on this huge project which will enhance their town in the end. And should help in any way that they can!!
