No need to change the early day !, everyone looks forward to Friday's being the end of the week and like others have said it gives children a head start for home work leaving more important family time for the weekend !. Friday to stay a early finishe please !.

The system has worked well for many years and the reason it was first introduced was and still is valid in my opinion: it was a pressure valve on what would otherwise be quite a difficult afternoon.
My daughter also has commitments on a Friday afternoon.
Complete lack of consultation with pupils and parents.

It makes no sense to cut the day short 2 days into the week. Daft idea, that I do not support and also feel parents should have been consulted before a decision was made. I will need to amend my working pattern to accommodate this which I am not happy about.

The school should be centred around the children's needs, not the teachers. I hope the headteacher realises this is a mistake, just like the toilet situation.

Like many others I have organised my working week around the early finish . It's a shame there wasn't any consultation on this as it will have a great impact on parents and students,

I don't really understand why the headteacher is doing this. Early finish on a Friday has worked well for students and parents. Personally I don't want things to change due to organisation of our week. For example work, clubs, activities, other commitments already in place to accommodate the school timetable.

My work schedule was arranged with my employer so that I am home on a Friday for when my son finishes. Changing the day is completely inconvenient and poses a real issue to us and our family. Our son also competes in bowling competitions over weekends throughout the year and the early finish on a Friday has enabled us to travel to where he needs to be rather than leaving exceptionally early on the sat morning. We are extremely unhappy about his decision!

I have my working week arranged around the children finishing at 2.15pm on a Friday as it always has been. It's difficult for me to change and wonder why when things aren't broken why change them. ?
