As a lifelong resident in the community and proud alumnus of Short Ave Elementary, I am vehemently opposed to this proposed Charter Co-Location/renaming of Short Ave School.

When education funds are cut the children are the only ones that suffer and consequently our future is affected!

we don't want anymore traffic!!!! It is not good for our children! I have children under 5 and those cars runs like 50 miles an hour every morning and evening , so no more please.

We don't need a Charter school in our little school. as it is the principal Ms. Paula's ruined our school since she's been here, so many pupils have left. all of the children are afraid of her . whenever she goes to the lunch area where the children are having their lunch and she walks through there with her fake smile all of the children just shiver. us as parents feel like she's prejudice against Mexicans. and as is well known that there is about 97% of the students Mexicans. she's toxic

My daughter is in third grade and uses the extra rooms for the after school program. She has greatly benefited from Latin and science labs. I do not want co-location!

My son has benefited through an enrichment and instruction program at Short Ave. Save this community school, give it a chance to grow.

Enough with the Charter schools. The Science lab, the art room you say are not real class rooms. If students are in there learning, guess what? It's a classroom.

Charter schools have no business co-locating on public school campuses. ICEF is a for profit charter corporation and is thus unregulated.

Short avenue was my elementary. As a local school, I learned the meaning of neighborhood. Every block I rode my bike around lived an alumni. Now, 2016, i still see how many local residents attended Short avenue. It brings a neighborly feel to our community. My daughter is now a student here. Her neighbors are also students here. To know that this will become a Charter School and take away from a local neighborhood school will only take away from the opportunity of local neighbors meeting and bringing our neighborhood closer. Neighbors make a neighborhood. Short Avenue makes us neighbors. Without the word "neighbor" in neighborhood, well, it will be a loss in our community.
