Its quite obvious we are not a permanent structure when the association can request the removal of a mobile home because of age or neglecting to maintain it properly. They are removable because they are on wheels. Unfortunately we cant request removal of a dilapidated home we have to simply live with it.

These are trailers for summer use only. There is no water hook up for 6 months. Berkeley is getting a good deal collecting sewer fees for the winter when these trailers are not un use. NOT PERMANENT.

Why does the trailers have to be registered at Motor Vehicles if it is a permanent structure? This must be reversed!

Our Trailer (80) is not a permanent structure and should not be taxed as such. We are only able to use the trailer for 6 months out of the year. We just received our Jcpl bill which states our dwelling is a trailer. Since our trailer is considered a motor vehicle the value of it goes down each year as your car would. We should not be taxed on a motor vehicle.

Mobile homes are not permanent structures and should not qualify for tax assessment. Our tax assessment should only be on our land.

Since the water is shut off for 6 months out of the year, our utility connections do NOT render our home habitable as a dwelling unit on a permanent basis. Therefore, this revised statute should not apply.

This tax increase is unreasonable since it can only be used 6 months. We are already paying school taxes which we will never use also because we only use trailer May to October.

How can a Non Permanent Structure be Taxed in the first place. Example an In-ground pool is permanent & will increase a property tax an Above Ground Pool that is not permanent will not. The Trailers have wheels and because you don't see them don't think they aren't there. The Trailers are registered with the NJMVC and are used from April 15th ( if that ) to Oct 31st. ..Water is shut off so it is definitely not a 12 month residence. Maybe we should all put in for a Sewer Tax Rebate with the town since we don't use the Sewer 12 months put get billed for 12 months.

As a new owner of Trailer 12 Shore Villas , I cannot see how a registered Trailer with DMV, becomes a structure. My tax bill should not reflect a building assessment.

My trailer (23) is registered as a motor vehicle with DMV. It cannot be a building and a vehicle at the same time.
The purchase title shows a "used vehicle", and should not be taxed as a permanent structure.

I am the owner of trailer 22 Fifteenth St. Because of issues with water pipes, we only have water during spring and summer-- 6 months. We therefore cannot use this as a permanent address. In addition, we could at any time move 'our motor vehicle titled trailer' at any time. Add such we should not be taxed as recently billed.
Thank you, Donna Costabile
