It's absolutely shocking that a basic necessity for so many Shopify users is still being ignored - You are going to lose my business if you don't do something about it, and you should be embarrassed that you've left it this long...I have lost most of my European wholesale sportswear customers who are sick of paying VAT, sick of waiting for refunds and sick of waiting for time consuming credit notes to cover your incompetence

I have an online store in South Africa, and we also require VAT numbers from business customers. It would be nice if we didn't have to put in work-around methods to collect VAT numbers.
