Guns should not be the target. Yes the laws need to change. To easy to get high capacity mags. Need to be made ecat. It needs to be discussed with firearm community and how did he get a license

before you make.any changes, you would better to discuss with professional people

We as responsible members of the shooting community want a safe place for new zealanders to live which is why we ask that measures be taken to stop this incident happening again. Blaming and banning the tool will only either make them find the same tool from the underworld, or use a different method. Consider your actions carefully and dont make rushed decisions that will do nothing for public safety and only trick the masses into believing they are safer. we want a plan that works! banning certain types of guns will do nothing, vetting processes and national intelligence agency need looking at in my opinion.

I don't believe that emotionally charged knee-jerk laws will ever do good to law abiding citizens. All that will happen, is punish those that go by the law, and not effect criminals, because, to put it simply; when do criminals follow the law?
