Find the most beneficial location for The Shinnecock Nation Casino

A casino would be disastrous out here. Let them go to Jakes 58! Keep the entertainment industry out of the Hamptons. We actually LIVE here!

If this casino is built, the only solution I see to prevent unsafe conditions on the one-lane Hill Street is to border off Hill Street West and East of the Casino and casino visitors could access only from a new road from Route 27. Hill Street could not support what I understand is expected as a million people per year or certainly at least 100,000 per weekend. Entrance to Casino from 27 would need to be built.

Had they searched for ten years, they could not have come up with a worse location. I am in favor of development, but it needs to take into account the surrounding area. This is wrong for the community, wrong for traffic, wrong for the environment, wrong for development. In fact, there is nothing right about it. Pave paradise, put up a parking lot.

I respect their rights. However, a Casino is out of character for this area and an absolutely disastrous location. Find another spot.

As a new property owner in the neighborhood I am very interested in staying informed and helping to protect our neighborhood .

This is a worthy goal but must start with a serious discussion of the social and environmental consequences of casino gambling anywhere on the East End. The discredited development plan for EPCAL does not mean that Riverhead is a good location, despite the Ghermezian family's self proclaimed interest in and Las Vegas experience with gambling.

We don't have the infrastructure to support a casino. Wrong location!

Living off Middle Pond means my route to and from the village will be a nightmare not to mention my property value will decrees greatly.

The answer is not to expand the roads to suit more traffic

There is too much traffic on Old Montauk Highway already. The road and the town cannot stand such an increase as a casino would bring it will be chaos!!

We all should be mindful of any type of support that our Shinnecock Nations needs. With that in mind, let's work together to find a location that is more accessible and better suits the community and the environment.

We support the Shinnecock Nation and understand that the Shinnecock Nation deserves the right to conduct it's own business affairs but if it will significantly affect in a negative way the community at large, they really need to find another suitable location. I, too, would join in assisting in helping them find another suitable place for a casino.

I am very concerned about a casino being built in my neighborhood. The roads in Hampton Bays and Southampton will be unbearable and the quality of the crowd concerns me too. Please find a better suited location for this project. Thank you
