Shenton College currently uses plastic containers to serve food in the canteen. While this may be cheap and easy to use, this also contributes to landfill and threatens the environment severely by a big margin, especially since there are more than two thousand students in Shenton.

A simple and more cost-effective solution would be to use your own container and utensils, by using your own container and utensils (spoons, forks etc.) you should be entitled to a 50c discount. By signing this petition only will you not have to pay 50c but you will also reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill, which is a staggering 20 million tonnes per year.
