Did you know that the Shelton area of Hanley, Stoke on Trent has several bail hostels, drugs drop in centres and a YMCA within a matter of five minutes walk from Hanley Park We are petitioning to STOP Arch Northstaffs from opening yet another hostel, on The Parkway, Hanley, Stoke on Trent. The residents of The Parkway and the surrounding streets do not want another bail hostel/homeless hostel on their doorstep, and neither do the parents of children who play in the park, directly opposite the proposed hostel. Given the number of bail hostels and other homeless accommodation within five minutes walk of Hanley Park, we believe that we already have our fair share of ‘undesirables’ in the immediate vicinity and do not want any more. If you believe that feeling safe in your own home is a good thing, and believe that intimidation, vandalism, car crime, burglaries, and violence are a bad thing; then PLEASE sign our petition so that we can begin to feel safer in our homes than we do at present.
