Considering how much these women already give up to bring honor and dollars to Simmons, they are being disregarded, dishonored, and disrespected by their administration. And this, on top of large tuition fees, minuscule dorm rooms and few amenities. How can any of this be remotely justified?

This is not alright. The D3 field hockey team does not derserve to be penalized by or prioritized behind high school sports.

Women's athletics are continually forced to sacrifice things for men's athletics. These girls deserve what they were promised and should be able to have a true home field!

I will call congressman Keeting's office as well as Mayor Walsh. This is insane. My daughter worker her ass off in high school to be able to get the scholarships she needed to attend Simmons College and play field hickey for them. I watched throughout her high school career I had to watch her, her team, and her sport take a backseat to the high school's football team in terms of equipment, field conditions, uniforms, and respect. I will not sit by idly while her prestigious private women's college takes a back seat to a high school football team. Please email me with any help or service I can provide.

My roommate is on the field hockey team, and as it has been advertised, Daly Field is the Simmons College home field. By not allowing our players to have a space of their own, it not only diminishes the "home field" goal we were trying to achieve, but it also creates problems, like my roommate's goalie gear being tossed in a bag in a small room in the complex with everyone else's gear, where it can't be aired out before a game (otherwise known as tomorrow's opening game at Daly). Student athletes work hard both in practice and also academically, so allowing our players (who travel more than a half an hour to practice every day) a locker room of their own shouldn't even be a question. We are the Sharks. And this is our field too.
