Sharks are being killed for their fins. The fins are a delicacy, mainly in China, and are eaten in soup or used in traditional Chinese medicine. The sharks are caught, their fins cut off and then thrown back in the ocean to die. The fins have no nutritional/medicinal value or taste so killing them is pointless. Between 73 million to 100 million sharks are killed every year. I hope that by signing this petition, we can stop this inhumane activity and save the sharks. I know that together we can all make a difference!
