Duck hunters and duck stamps pay for bird habitat. Birder watchers do not.

The South jetty and Huntington Beach State Park has a designated bird sanctuary. Do not make the entire inlet one.

The sanctuary will help to diminish the Murrel's inlet waterfowler's hunting heritage do to it further restricting the hunting domain in Murrels inlet. Therefore we do not need a sanctuary in this area.

Hunting for legal species should not be hindered on public water. The shorebirds are not legal for harvest, therefore should have no danger brought on by hunting. One outdoor activity should not trump another.
