I am against removing more and more public land from hunters and fishermen. It is a heritage that is deeply rooted in the fabric of many families.

This is unnecessary and only interferes with legalized hunting in Murrell's Inlet. Birds that need this protection are not hunted here!

I grew up on the inlet. I taught countless people how to fish in the inlet. Do not close the inlet to our children. They need it more than we do. SAVE OUR CHILDREN FIRST.

I live directly on the main channel. Murrells Inlet is a great small estuary for young teens to learn. Honestly what makes me concerned is the push for more sanctuary. The Huntington Beach on the inlet/main channel was shut down w out notice 2 summers ago to beachcombers now called a bird nesting area. It was the only real family beach to enjoy w kids as the point is mostly adults. Now it's roped off. They already have a closed nesting area behind the salt ponds behind jetty. This is simply a push for control.

Do not make Murrells Inlet a bird sanctuary. Hunters have been in the inlet for decades. I don't see any logical reason to make it a sanctuary. The government has already done its best to screw up the fishing!

Murrells Inlet should remain free for all to enjoy. Duck Hunters deserve to enjoy the area as they have for decades. Current laws and regulations provide for safety or residents and visitors. DNR keeps a close check on duck hunters in the Inlet and throughout the lowcountry.

Now no duck hunting
Next no music because it disturbs birds
No fishing because it disturbs residents

Let us keep the right to hunt and pass it on to future generations. I have great memories with friends hunting and I have hopes that my daughter will one day as well.
