Before committing to a $51.4 million debt, we should examine all alternatives. One thing to explore is actual costs - the truth - determined and agreed upon by members of each side so that the misinformation that is running rampant takes its rightful place (garbage). Once a truth is established, move on. Don't rehash. Also - why can't we see plans? How come Herkimer County was able to build at 1/2 the cost?

We must explore all opportunities before voting on a new jail. I am in favor of a non binding referendum to find out what all voters in Greene county think about this incredibly important issue
