Shannon Quay West Hotel, Ruskey, Co. Leitrim should not be used to house Asylum seekers to the detriment of the village and it's local population.

Disgraceful sell out of Irish people by their elected representatives. We must do whatever it takes to avenge this treachery by Varadker.

This is not of any benefit to vulnerable people or the local area. These people need bigger and better facilities...

The West of Ireland is being taken advantage of, send them to some of the rich Fine Gael Dublin constituencies.

This is terrible. The state did the same thing in Lisdoonvarna and are now doing it in Wicklow town. No regard for the Irish who live in these areas. There's big money in it for the hotel owners and it wouldn't surprise me if there's a "pat on the back" for the TDs who allow this to go ahead.

Anything social environment changes like this should at the very least be put to the local residents of every village and town affected by these scandalous decisions to change the demographics of peoples homes. It's disgraceful what is being done in this country

This practise of foisting DP centres on rural Ireland cannot be tolerated. We must do what we can to end this corrupt 'gombeen man' cronyism or it will continue unabated to all our detriments.
