Shannon Quay West Hotel, Ruskey, Co. Leitrim should not be used to house Asylum seekers to the detriment of the village and it's local population.

Extremely Sad news for Rooskey and the Surrounding Areas. Tax payers Money being used to House People who should not be in our country in the First place, bad enough but shoeing them into a small Village with nothing of interest for them is a Disgrace,A ticking time bomb for Hostility and Crime in My opinion. Could think of many better ways this property could be used Also.

Hotel should be reopened for tourism purposes, Rooskey is a tourist village with no facilities in place for 80 asylum seekers.

The people of Rooskey have made great strides over the last 5 years to bring tourism and new business to the village. This Hotel needs to be opened as a Hotel to continue that great work, the hotel or the surrounding village is not suited to a direct provision centre

I don’t actually live in Roosky but my mother is from there and I spent a lot off my childhood there I don’t see why the hotel that is part and parcel off the village should be used to house refugees for them to come in and have everything handed to them and their children take all the school places from local children because that will be the next step with them

Should be open as hotel. Don't want any more asylum seekers around the place.

Tourism is the only good thing left in our beautiful village. Please don’t allow this change of use to the Shannon Key West Hotel.
Rooskey needs the hotel to help breath new life into the village. Let our little village have a chance please.

My husband's family is from this village and we have visited in the past. It's a lovely area and does not deserve to lose its identity as a small Irish Village. In addition to the burden of the financial hardship the village would bear in assuming so many additional residents.
