Shannon Quay West Hotel, Ruskey, Co. Leitrim should not be used to house Asylum seekers to the detriment of the village and it's local population.

Shame on whoever decided it was a good location to dump these poor unfortunate people here and shame on the people profiting from it. Let every village/ town house a family and allow them fully integrate with the community. Creating a ghetto won't work. We need our hotel back to get local economy working again.

Rooskey needs its hotel to attract tourists into the area Rooskey had a major blow back years ago when the factory went on fire.. which was promise to be rebuilt and opened but unfortunately never happened. Shannon waterways are proposing to put in Lower platforms for mooring boats to encourage more boot into the village the hotel will play a vital role encouraging tourists and visitors alike bought on and off the Shannon .... Also rooskey does not have the facilities to accommodate ....

Rooskys to small of a town, there's no jobs no activities to keep them busy no transport, not good for their own mental health
