Shannon Quay West Hotel, Ruskey, Co. Leitrim should not be used to house Asylum seekers to the detriment of the village and it's local population.

10,000 homeless people on the streets off ireland only last week we seen a women and her 4 year old child asleep on the streets off Dublin disgraceful this government and country is stomach turning think off you're before anything or anyone else. And put this hotel in proper use because it's because of the bypass that has it the way it is..

These refugees need proper care. Not direct provision. Show them dignity and respect.

Stop them from going in

It doesn't make sense , I'm not against refugees coming to Ireland , but in reality they need to be homed in places that fit their needs i.e. Dublin, Longford town Roscommon town etc., It would be more along the lines to reopen the hotel and boost the tourism in Rooskey which has been deprived of lively activities in the village for several years now. Bring Rooskey back to life. The refugees will be lost in a place like this with the lack of facilities in this place , so why can't they be housed in Dublin, stop scamming the rest of the country please you politicians have ruined rural livelihood enough.

Not suitable for this village. No back ups nothing to do all day. A bigger town would be more suitable for this amount of people. Not stuffed into a hotel in rooskey.

Ruskey has no facilities to accommodate all the refugees the hotel should be opened to give some locals employment and try and get the tourist back to the area

Wrong decision. Asylum seekers need help but not in a town so small and needing regeneration itself. The locals need to feel secure and strong again.

There to many Irish homeless time to look after our own and not lock up to eu.

No pervisions or public transport in this small village its not set up for large invasion of people

This is in no way a suitable placement for asylum seeker apart from the fact that no facilities are in place for them ...this hotel may yet be reopened and create some badly needed employment in this small village !
