Perth is a beautiful town, having the same colours on all of the store fronts will make it not attractive to tourists, perhaps the town needs to take this into consideration and possibly re-visit what ever by laws or documents they may have and perhaps change them.

I met an elderly lady with a small butterfly tattoo on her leg. She told me that she got it on her 80th birthday ‘to show the young ones i am still alive and kicking!’ Perth could use the same attitude. A splash of colour could give the old town a little kick!

The frontage of many Perth businesses don't comply with this rule - picking on the one that is a credit to the downtown is foolish.
