It looks fabulous. The town needs to ease up on this a bit. Keep heritage buildings in good repair bit dont limit colour choices.
This story makes our funky little town sound stuffy and conservative all over the news.

The new storefront is well done, cheerful and attractive. Let's thank our businesses that are putting care into maintaining their storefronts!

This business brings people like me, who wouldn't normally go, to Perth. That's how awesome the store is. If the town wants to ignore the good that Shadowfax does and dictate and control them, that hurts Perth's 'IMAGE' so much more than the colour of a door. Really people!!

I was a resident of Perth and still have ties in the community and I believe the new colours of Shadowfax are beautiful, creative and a wonderful way to remember a great lady and I believe the town should never be allowed to take away anyone's vision.

It's beautiful and eye-catching, but not in a tacky way. In a way that draws me in and makes me think this would be a fun store to shop in.

They force the owner to pay BIA taxes and try to force her to live in the 18th century..Brighten the town up ,make it look alive and vibrant..We have a few old buildings, same as every town, same as every city.We Do Not have the Pyramids or Hanging Gardens of Babylon.Whoever is trying to enforce this ,it is possibly time for the Lodge....Looks "Great" Angie

Shadowfax looks charming with the new colours. Leave it be!! I commend Angie Gilchrist on not mentioning on social media or to the press that there are other storefronts that do not comply with the colours on Perth’s pallet!!!

"Old" or "Heritage" does not have to mean dull and boring. Colour brings life and freshness to a streetscape and enhances rather than detracts from the grey stonework of which Perth is rightly proud.

I think the whole main street of Perth should be colored brightly. Heritage does not need to be dull. Whatever color is used, it is still heritage. Lunenburg, N.S looks lovely.

We have a cottage in Perth and choose to do all our shopping there for cottage trips, as well as I make day trips a number of times each year for other reasons. I enjoy the Shadowfax and really like the new look. I think it should be allowed to stay that way. Thanks.

Dear Perth,
Your heritage colours are boring. You want us to visit? Allow more colourful shops like Shadowfax. Colour brings life and vibrancy to a neighbourhood. Don't ban it.

Considering the non heritage signs and canopy on a business in the same block, this should be a non issue..
