Support Colourful Shadowfax in beautiful Heritage Perth, 2017

I am in Perth almost every weekend with my family that lives there. This new paint is lovely bright and engaging on the streetscape. While I appreciate the heritage of the town I don't believe that this updated paint job negatively affects the overall look and feel of downtown Perth. If you do not allow the business to freshen their exterior the whole street can look shoddy and uninviting. I don't believe every other store will jump to make similar changes so it's a nice pop of colour.

It's only paint, looks beautiful, uplifting, support your businesses, not hinder them. Let go of old outdated rules.

That is rediculous that the town is trying to dictate what colours are there. The new store front looks great. Time for the town to stop keeping businesses down.

Perth's heritage district policies are too narrow if they don't allow colours like these to be used.

I think this is a great way to brighten and bring cheer to the downtown. I spend a lot of time in the Maritimes and they embrace this as a way to enhance the heritage architecture in there own communities. It improves morale and lightens the mood making people happy. Get your heads out of your asses and move forward not backward.

I grew up in Perth and I think the building looks great. I also think Perth town council needs to know their limits. Stop trying to tie the hands of your business owners.

Town of Perth should be ashamed of themselves....get over yourselves....this is tastefully done!!

Tastefully done! Good to keep the old features but a little colour doesn't take away from historic look. It only adds more interest to the street.

As a business owner I understand the importance standing out from the crowd. As a designer I understand the importance of beautiful original colour schemes. I understand the importance of preserving heritage buildings and streets scapes however, I fail to see how this store front is offensive in anyway. Rules are put in place to achieve and protect certain goals and objectives. When the rules don't work I think it's time to look at the objectives and evaluate the situation without focussing solely on the wording of the rules.

Love the colours! It really livens up the store front!

This is a beautiful storefront and far more upbeat and colourful than many of the other businesses in our downtown core. Please allow them to keep their storefront this way!

Perhaps the Town o Perth should require retailers, who haven't updated their store fronts, to do so. Some are looking pretty run down.

Perth is beautiful and bright coloured stores really add the the old grey stoned buildings. Please think outside the conservative box!

I visit this area every summer, am a cottage resident. I've always loved the uniqueness of the downtown Perth, shops and store fronts. Please allow Shadowfax to keep its colors.
