I have found when these petty things are questioned by those 'in charge'....they have been on the job for to long and the power has gone to their head!

Rules can be bent with enough support. I see no problem with city council approving this ATTRACTIVE colour scheme!

"it's how it's always been done" is never a good enough excuse to stop progress. Many things used to be done that we would find horrible today. It's paint, it's clean, it's nice, people like it, relax.

I love the new look ! It suits the building and it's very heritage like ! What is all this fuss about ? How silly ! It's just fantastic and very well done .

Why blend in when you were born to stand out?

Tastefully done and artsy. Good colour choices, vibrant but not garish. The current "Heritage" colours are perhaps too limited.

I could walk down the street and pick out really ugly stores that have muted colours. They should stay out of peoples business.

A lot of "heritage" colours WERE bright colours! If the storefront is well-maintained and regularly updated, what's the problem? It's certainly not what one would call an eyesore. Take a look at The Good Food Co. in Carleton Place - it's brightly painted, and it's beautiful as well! Stores need to stand out to draw people's attention...if everything is drab, how do you accomplish this?

I come to perth often to shop and absolutely love this store , Dragonmoon and a few others.. I personally love the eclectic look and drawn to these different store vibrant store fronts.... This makes the various stores authentic as well attractive to the tourist shopper like myself.. I am more likely to walk past a store that has no character versus one that does. Love the old side of Perth exactly as it is and would be disappointed to see the town make these unique shops change their appearance that would have no impact on the town but more the business owner. As this particular store is currently is attractive to the buyer, will draw people in and reflective to the merchandise inside.. Its wonderful and would be a shame to see made to paint over with a boring standardized look. If a store front had innpapropriate /offensive decor/signs then that is different and should have an expectation to change but this store is beautiful inside and out like many others on old town perth strip and hope these stores gain support of community and town to remain as they are..

I like it, gives life to the store. Most lovely store and owner, a touch of everything in it, awsome.

Let it stay. Perth needs a little lively colour.

Leave this person to try to develop her business - it looks fabulous and would certainly draw me to the store. There are more pressing circumstances in this world to be addressing other than the colours of the store.

I have no problem with the very professional paint job used on Shadowfax's street front.

I love the colours at Shadow Fax. I find Foster street to be very drab and depressing! I think more store fronts should brighten up their store fronts with vibrant colours. It is exciting and inviting. Leave her alone and her store front. The colour attracts people to an otherwise dull street!
