I am a parent and a teacher in SFUSD. When people are confused about why we need a new contract and more pay, I tell them that my school started with TEN open teaching positions and my daughter's elementary school started with no support staff (no social worker, PE teacher, and more).

As a SFUSD parent and employee, everyday I see the destabilizing effects of low staffing from the classroom to the office to the warehouse. Offer us all a fair wage! We don’t need contracted employees, SFUSD workers need a fair contract!!

Paraprofessionals, preschool teachers and other educators salary pays the rent only. All other expenses like food are out of reach.

The district is too top heavy, less off site admins! Payroll fiasco was too much money misspent! Concerned about my boy sitting in a “physics”class without a teacher!
