SFUSD Families Support a Fair Contract for Teachers and Staff

Teachers and staff need a fair contract now. Fair treatment of school staff = better education for students = stronger and safer communities.

I am a parent and a paraeducator at Grattan. My child has an IEP and because of staff shortages, he is NOT receiving the services he is legally entitled to. As a paraeducator, I am paid far too little for the daily work I do working with children with severe autism. I love my job so much. But we are understaffed and underpaid. It isn't okay.

Fair wages for educators! Make it happen!

Teachers need fair resources to competently complete their work.

Demonstrate our district values educators by paying them a competitive salary! Settle the contract now!

My son is a senior this year and it has been 2 years where he and his peers have been robbed of an education-no credentialed teachers, just unqualified subs that couldn’t teach the core subjects. He couldn’t take the classes he signed up for because there was no teacher!

Our educators deserve better than this! Fair wages and raises retroactively!

I support our teachers and faculty. As a former SFUSD student I am proud of our school staff and they should be fully supported.

SFUSD should be ashamed of what’s going on and provide fair salaries and resources that make sure that teachers can stay in the City and provide our kids with what’s needed.

SOTA recently tried to hire an Algebra 2 teacher and after 4 weeks of "processing" his employment and no end in site he took a job in another district. Fix your HR and payroll systems and sign a fair contract with the teachers and staff.

I think we know that the teachers, support staff, and sped staff work hard and often don't have the resources, continuing professional development, and pay that they should be getting. Trading between their interests and students' interests is a bad place to be yet here we are...Please do right by both the students and all the professionals that support them.

We should be providing our teachers the necessary resources to be able to have a living wage. They are educating our future leaders and deserve our support!

Please pay our educators- enough and on time!

Please make the right choice. Public School is such a necessary resource to all families who call SF home.

Please give the teachers and our children what they deserve.
