It is only right that the Kin class of 2020 be recognized for their achievements just as any other major is currently doing for their graduates. As first generation students, commuting, living far away from home, having had illnesses and set backs looking forward to this day was our goal. We demand to be honored with stoles and a celebration after all the hard work we have put into receiving this specific majors diploma. Do not leave this important decision in the hands of a student association, take the initiative as a department to inform the students.its understandable that these are uncertain times but if all other majors can celebrate their graduates so can the kin department. I love my major and respect all my professors and would love to see some actions being taken towards honoring us.

I am a first generation student in which I was waiting anxiously for the commencement ceremony because having been through a lot within the years of earning my Bachelors degree, to having to get through all the sacrifice and no ceremony really affected me and of course my family where seeing their daughter graduate at a Cal State University would mean the world to them.
Parents immigrated to give my sister and I a better life and they deserve to see a celebratios.

Yes! The kinesiology department meant a lot to my experience at SFSU and would love to have a Kin sash as a memory!
