If it is their culture to molest children then we, whose culture defends children should pull out of there. If the army chooses to discharge this hero then nobody should ever enlist in this army again.

This is an aggregious act of cowardice by the US Army! Unfair, immoral, downright evil. I commend this man and every American soldier who stands up for and defends the weakest among us.

I am very proud of this soldier who was protecting a child who was being brutalized, and also was protecting the child's mother. He is a good man, the world needs many more like him. God bless him!

As a former military member and a mother, I find it disgusting that the government would throw out a soldier who stood up for a young boy when noone else could. He clearly demonstrates core values of what our military should embody and I'm proud to be a Vet alongside of him.

The America I love does not punish our Heros and protect child rapist. In what world is it acceptable to kick a green beret out of the military for protecting the weak. Scolding him for getting physical is one thing, taking away everything thing the man has sacrificed his life for us another. Sad day in America.

I served 3 years in the Marine Corps 1966-1969, Vietnam Veteran. This is outrageous. SFC Martland must be allowed to serve.
