It is a travesty ( and I use that polite word instead of unf***ing believeable), that SFC Martland is even having to defend his actions. He and his fellow soldiers defended the weakest of the weak. It is also horrible that Martland and those like him, men with honor, have to serve under men and a system that, clearly, have none.

An investigation should be performed and thorough review all actions. It would appear that the soldier should be congratulated for his integrity.

I am so completely disgusted of the treatment of this great American soldier and human being who did the right thing by sticking up for a child who was being MOLESTED . What kind of people work in our Government who dishonor this soldier who defends the fundamental right of this child? To defend him from an animal who is violating his innocent body. You should be ashamed as an American to defend this animal who stands against everything we are as Americans! This crime occurred on an American base .

I support Green Beret Charles Martland for his stand , moral fiber, integrity, and courage as he came in defense of the helpless...I sign this petition for the injustice taken against him.....give him back his job!!!

I am a Sgt in the Marine Corps. I would have done the same thing, given the opportunity. This man does not deserve to be punished for doing what is morally right. The Pentagon denying that any higher ups or government officials have said to look the other way are lying! I heard it while I was in Iraq. This man should not be denied be able to stay in the Army.

Extremely outrageous that an honorable member of our military who has been proven to be of very high moral integrity to be treated so disrespectfully!!! No wonder that our military no longer gets taken seriously by our enemies!
