This is ridiculous. His conduct was exemplifying the actions of an officer & a gentleman. What is wrong with this. Why are our so called leaders vilifying our honorable servicemen? These situations have to stop.

The person or person's responsible for the dismissal of SFC Charles Martland,should be dismissed themselves.SFC Charles Martland should be reinstated with honors,plus promoted.

This soldier deserves recognition for his actions instead of being disgraced. I would like to know what these leaders would have done if it had been their son and mother? If we are over there fighting for freedoms, why in the hell is this man being booted out? Reinstate him with honors!!! This is an example of stupidity ruling instead of common sense.

Being a veteran, I understand the rules of engagement and how we are not to become involved with the locals but there is a line that was crossed. We need more human engagement and less war engagement.

What a disgrace to uphold a child rapist and woman beater over a decorated, honorable, courageous and brave Serviceman. Those seeking to discharge this American Hero are supporting terrorist tatics and abuse and making a clear statement that children do not matter and women do not matter. What a disgrace those people are with their support of child rapists and violence against women!!

As a retired SF Sergeant Major, I find it just dispicable that a Special Forces soldier is being thrown under the bus for standing up against evil by an Army that has so-called "leadership" that is more worried about their careers than standing by their man. Why? Because they pander to the Afghans and a U.S. Administration that has lost its moral compass and the guts to do the right thing. We used to be a Nation that fought against evil...now we are so worried about being politically correct, we have become weak and ineffective.
