I served with Charles on a sister Special Forces Detachment in Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group. He is a warrior without peer and his character is unassailable. This is a Soldier who moved heaven and earth to get back onto active duty after leaving service just so he could go to Afghanistan with his brothers. He was always honest and dependable with me and all other Soldiers in 1st Group. I am saddened to his illustrious career potentially ending this way. He deserves far better

Please consider that the actions of SPC Charles Martland were defending the dignity of a child and a mother. I do not understand how are we punishing a decorated soldier for standing againts that is something totally unacceptable to the American culture. More importantly how in the hell our taxpayer money is defending, training and supporting an Afgan rapist . You guys have a kot explaining to do. The american people are very upset about this events and certainly we expect a total transparency.
