i served with SFC Martland and he was the best soldier I've met. It is wrong and unjust to dismiss a decorated soldier for taking the moral high road that is preached so loudly throughout the organization. If you will not defend the men that volunteer to defend you then how can you ever expect their loyalty!

I believe we must hold to our belief system, not a belief system polar opposite and extremely offensive to our own. I believe these two men who stepped up to protect those weaker than their abusers should receive accolades. Since that is not what they are receiving, it is appropriate to question those "in charge" who are upholding beliefs NOT OUR OWN. Where are their allegiances? Certainly not to those I'm familiar with as a committed US citizen!! Who will stand with me and for our military personnel who stand for what's right?? Many voices are needed!

He was right in what he did. He shouldn't be punished for protecting people. Raping a child is disgusting, but is seems to be the norm in Afghanistan. Those people are evil and as sick as sick can be. Since is it wrong to do the right thing. With obama, good is bad and bad is good. Obama is evil persona and should be removed from office. He's a traitor.

I know SFC Martland personally. This is a man who deserves recognition for his dedication and service. If he wishes to remain in the Army after all of this, I can think of no one I would rather have protecting my family.
