I always said how much the military has changed from back in the day to when I was in. Now I look at it and I'm glad I do not have to call Obama my commander and chief.

This man should be held up as the example others should follow, not penalized.

Keep him in and let this man continue to do his job!

This officer should not be punished for standing up for a raped child, and his mother, who was beaten for reporting the rape. That would not be ok in America, why is it ok to vilify him for standing up for women and children in another country? That's not what America is about. He is a brave soldier and should not lose his job. He should be commended for standing up for women and children.

This is outrageous treatment of a dedicated soldier! Our troops should be supported, especially when they are doing the morally right thing and SFC Martland was doing just that!

Please allow this soldier who has served with great distinction to continue his position in the US Army. Thanks!

I support our American heroes who serve in every branch of our armed forces. Thank you for all you go through for Americans and our country, including standing up for children and women who can't protect themselves. I'm so sorry that any of you would ever have to be humiliated rather than honored for doing what is right! I pray for Gods protection on all of you. Thank you!!!

It's this kind of crap that just makes me feel like all hope is lost and we will never be ever again the country we used to be. But yes we have to stand up for it even if it's a lost cause. Even if he doesn't get his job back. America, if its ever stood for anything, has always stood for standing up to the bully and doing what's right even if there's nothing in it for us. I can not say that about this country anymore though. I really can't

This man is a Hero and should continue his duties! Enough of the PC "stuff" and allow our men and women to do what they do best. Protect and serve this wonderful country!

I strongly support SFC Martland's right to continue his career in the Army! This is not justice, to support a child rapest while punishing a honorable AMERICAN vet.

This man is a hero, I am proud of him for serving his country and keeping us free, and helping a defenseless woman and child against such brutal and sinful actions by ungodly men.

Complete outrage over the treatment of this SF soldier. Let him back in. What if it were your wife or child being beaten & raped!! Support our troops especially when they do the morally right thing.
