Do not separate U.S. Army Green Beret SFC Charles Martland from the Army. He is a patriot and defended a raped child & his mother in a manner that any DECENT human being would have.

8 years in the Marines and 3 in civilian law enforcement. I spent 4/5 years working for SJA and a very short time investigating internet crimes against children. If you turn your head one time that's all it takes. Children need to be protected at all costs no matter the consequence. What SFC Martland did was honorable and should not in any way warrant a discharge.

This is absolutely ridiculous. This young man should be given a medal not thrown out of the Army. What is wrong with these people. I believe he showed restraint in this matter. The Afghan soildier is the one
that should have been reprimanded to the full extent of the law.
