SFC Martland does what any American soldier/marine would have done. So let's not punish him rather we should applaud him.

Dear Ash Carter, (Secretary of Defense). I support the actions of SFC Charles Martland defending a young boy. Absolutely no dismissal of SFC Charles Martland should be acceptable. An example should have been made of Rahman and their justice system in Afghanistan. Rahman should have been punished and been made an example of what happens to people that abuse women and children.

To punish a soldier, or any citizen, for standing up to the depravity of a pedophile, shows that this behavior is to be tolerated. Are we expected to turn a blind eye to such atrocities simply because the muslim culture allows for this perversion????

Restore the honor that is do to our Warriors. This Afghan officer is lucky he only got some scrapes and bruises. Even hard-core prisoners don't tolerate child rapists. These two Green Berets deserve a metal for showing such incredible restraint.

Reinstate a good man, father, and soldier. Cease with these ridiculous legal witch hunts. Support our military and stop eroding it from within by senseless roe and the constant threat of persecution and frivolous prosecution.

Why are we training and defending pedophiles? Mohammad was a pedophile. Are all Muslims? I've heard about Allah's night off on Thursday where boys and goats are raped. Why don't we take the kids, then nuke that disaster?

Let's get this right. The rapist is the one in the wrong...not the two men who confronted him.

It is outrageous that this soldier is being punished for standing up and acting in a manner which should be praised instead of condemned. This is indeed an injustice.

SFC Martland did the right thing. In fact, I'm impressed he didn't kill him. The US cannot validate or condone heinous crimes such as child rape by turning their back or punishing those who step in. The US will be guilty by negligence and seen as weak and not serious by our friends and our enemies. If you are trying to make a difference, a change, in that region ... child rape is the first thing! That local now things it's business as usual! "You" need to stop punishing soldiers for combat decisions and doing the right things or you will have the same syndrome of police officers afraid to do something because of being tried in the media and condemned.

This man had compassion for human life and knowing what was done to these people was dead wrong - being punished for it is demoralizing our armed services.

I believe he did no wrong doing. In fact, I think that a beating was not enough. Maybe he should have cut a hand off or maybe cut his genitals off. That would have been punishment and taught him a lesson. We need to get these liberals out of our military and keep them out.
