Remove the black mark from Martland record. It cost way to much money to train and allow a SF soldier to mature so why would you discipline him for standing up for a raped boy?

When a person is punished for defending a child and his mother, something is terribly wrong! I have always taught my children that if they ever see someone being picked on, mistreated, or bullied that they should always defends them if they can. It's the right thing to do. If this man had not defended this helpless woman and child then more than likely nothing would have been done about it at all. What if this were your child or wife? Wouldn't you want someone to defend them?

I must say that SFC Charles Martland acted just like any great, moral and elite soldier should. Personally anyone who lets rapist get away with there crimes is as guilty as them. Thank you SFC Charles Martland for your service and bravery. I only hope my two young boys grow up to be like you sir!!!

Please wake up to reality and support and defend the code of honor that our men and women adhere to. These men sought to protect this young boy and his mother and hoped to deter this pedophile and woman beater from committing these crimes again. Where is the honor in not protecting women and children??? Where is the honor in kicking out these honorable warriors from the US Army? Please do what is right and noble and expunge all "wrong doing" from these Soldier's records and allow SFC Martland to continue to serve his country with honor and integrity! What if this had happened to your son, daughter or wife? Would you sit idly by? I think not. Stand up and defend those who stand up and defend others!
