If his service and bravery is not worthy of the support and honor of the brightest and most Just nation on earth, I do not know whose would be.

Drop the charges allow this man to continue to serve. If he wants to. This is ridiculous.

I am a service connected, disabled USMC Veteran, Husband and Father of two. I would have done the same thing as not only my duty as capable military but as a good human. I suggest that the Army reverse the decision(s) in their best interest.

The idea of charges is ludicrous. What's happening to our country's values?

Punish this man for doing what we as a nation and culture hold to be a universal good and relegate us all as a nation and culture to the scrap heap of history.

I was on chucks team (oda1315). He was my junior bravo. He does not act without reason. He is calculated and precise. If he says that a little boy was being abused and that the team was losing respect of the locals for not doing something, believe him. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing!

This man deserves an award instead of a punishment. He rescued a little kid from a rapist who destroyed the little boy's life.

SFC Martland has proven his moral fiber and is the greatest example of the Army values that are engrained in the NCO corps and enlisted side of the house. Regardless if it is a custom in Afghanistan, when the mother of the rape victim asked them to come to her aide and the offender is a high ranking officer in the police force where else could anyone turn for help, I'm sure that they went to talk to him his reply and laughter at the situation led them to teach him that it is not ok to rape children and pushing him around a little was the way they thought he would become educated to this fact. It just shows that SFC Martland cared about more than just the mission. Oh and by the way isn't that kind of behavior against the teachings of the Koran? SFC Martland you have my utmost respect.

He only did what the boys mother requested he do. How can a good soldier stand by and allow a pervert to ruin a boys life even it was in another country. Why should the U.S. train people who molest children?
