SFC Martland, you did the right thing and you should not be punished for it. We need more people like you in our military. I salute you.

I would like to thank you for your courage to stand up and not follow orders. You have proven to be above the rest. I support you bro and thank you.

Army, don't cave to P.C. immoral, liberal, political, pressure. Honor the decorated SF soldier for doing the right thing - reinstate him.

This man should get a metal. If there is ever a fight this is the man that you want on your side.

My son came across the same situation while in Afghanistan. It is not right that SFC Martland is being taking to task on this. The Afghan men can be barbaric. it doesn't mean we need to allow it to happen.

Stand up for what you believe in, everyone deserve a chance to happiness and that boy deserves it. Don't let what anyone says change your mind. Charles Martland, you are a good man, keep on standing up for the inncoent!

I will be watching to see how this is resolved, I hope the army brass will realize that right is always, always right.

At some point, when a host country official's conduct is morally repugnant, it is very hard not to act. The United States cannot condone such acts.

Given the way Mr. Martland has been treated by the US army for his heroic actions to protect boys against sexual abuse in Afghanistan, I am ashamed to be an American until this injustice is corrected and Mr. Martland is given the recognition he deserves for his valor and moral integrity

There is something seriously wrong with the US govt. and the Presidential National Security staff as SFC Martland deserves a medal: "After acting to protect a child from sexual assault from an Afghan commander, SFC Martland was punished and could be kicked out of the military at any time," said Jay Sekulow, of the American Center for Law and Justice. "What's equally disturbing are reports that the military has allowed Afghanistan forces to sexually abuse young children on U.S. bases."

The Army leadership should be ashamed at the lack of moral backbone it has shown in dealing with all cases like this.

This man has onlt done what many others think about doing. If this world had more like him we would not be in such a miserable state.

This is an outrage and a complete embarrassment to our armed forces. Nothing short of a full reinstatement should be given to this American Hero. I'm appalled and disappointed this transgressed to where it has.

Our nation MUST support any US soldier who stand up for what is right in the face of evil. While he sent a message that our military are protectors of the innocent, our soldiers are receiving a message of non-support for their heroic sacrifices. Thank you SFC Martland for taking action at your own risk to protect an innocent child.

A true hero does the right thing in the most challenging of circumstances. Let us reward our heroes and not punish them.
