This decorated officer did the right thing and should NOT be punished for standing up for what is right, especially in a case where a child was harmed.

As a retired service member I am shamed by my affiliation with an organization that has come from the standard of prosecution of our own war crimes to dismissing honorable soldiers for doing good. If SFC Maryland is discharged in this manner I will have no choice but to hide several generations of my family's duty to this country so that our name will not be tainted by an "administrative" action that promotes pedophilia.

To put this soldier out would be a moral breach with all soldiers who have served honorably and who have protected the weak from evil. I will do my best to ensure that those responsible for putting him out (if it occurs ) will be named in public so all Americans can see those who approve of the abuse of children so short term political goals can be reached.

This MAN is a true hero if the military kicks him out of service it's a disservice to anyone in uniform that's ever served this country this MAN was protected the lives and freedom on that young boy and his mother isn't that what he was supposed to be doing

I served as a grunt with the 5th Division but still understand the meaning of "Brothers Forever!" Being a Green Beret may have instilled more sense of protection for the oppressed and I have a deep respect for them!!

At this point, there should be 100 Senators and 435 Congress persons. That should be fighting for Charles to stay in. And the officers, who are trying to kick him out, should be court marshalled themselves.

If we allow soldiers to be drummed out for confronting a rapist, cultural differences aside, what makes us any different than impartial observers who agree and approve of by our inaction,

He had the courage to act when no one did. If he is discharge it will destroy morale in the military and leave our military personnel in fear of during their job and scare them doing what is right!!!
