SFC Charles Martland should not be discharged. He makes me proud to be a US citizen and have him out there protecting us.

What is this country coming to? Do we not protect the innocent from oppression anymore? Reinstate this war hero. I am proud that SFC Martland stood up for this little boy.

SFC C.Martland MUST have his record expunged of this crap. He did nothing more than uphold the basic inalienable human rights of an abused child.

What is going on with our country. This is very disturbing. This man should be given a metal for doing his duty.

This is absurd! I deployed multiple times to AFG. One of those was a year with an Army JTF. Never once was i told not to stop something like this. . I thought I remember in the UCMJ that you technically have to act to stop a crime against a defenseless person. Stand tall brother.

It is, in no way, acceptable that the administration and Dept of the Army seek to drum a man out of the military for defending a child. SFC Martland did EXACTLY what most would do for an innocent life. How can loyalty be expected when there is have none for the troops? How can bridges be built when the actions concerning Martland tell that child and his mother they are not important enough to defend? To punish the SFC for what he did is to spit in the face, and minimize the suffering, of that boy and his family. A boy who trusted Martland to go to him and, in doing, trusted him more than the Dept of the Army and this administration. A disgrace to all who have served with honor.
