This is a disgrace that the USA is doing this!

This is a moral outrage. I no longer support a U.S. Army that calls evil good and good evil. First class Martland is a hero, a man of honor. You Secretary Ash Carter are a disgrace. I stand for you dismissal.

I really hate to see a professional like this NCO being put out of the Army because of drawdown policies. We are not seeing the lose and all the experience that the Army is loosing. After spending 30 plus years in the military I believe I made the right decision at the right time. Soldiers like SFC Martland are walking in egg shells because for the most minus thing we have red tape individuals that are only looking at drawdown and not at the expertise we loose when we put professional individuals like this out. In my experience as a unit SGM and staff SGM and I see something like they saw, I would off done the same thing. Keep your head up and be positive. I applaud your actions and the actions of your team leader. God Bless!!

The Army should be PROUD to have this man as a soldier. By discharging him they are condoning the raping of children.

I do not condone beating up somebody by taking the law into your own hands, but I do believe we all make mistakes and this mistake should be forgiven. This soldier has given his life so many times for his country with numerous deployments in harm's way. Please allow this elite warrior to retire like the rest of us. Thanks.

I am ashamed of our country for allowing pedophiles and rapists to continue doing this to be politically correct. This is an outrage and injustice!

Applaud SFC for taking a stand and confronting an immoral "ally". It is about time to apply a little common sense to all of the bureauacracy.

I'm sure there are many worse people to "draw down" than someone who tried to protect a couple of children from the little "customs" of Afghanistan.

I'm sick of the world telling us what is right for them, has to be the right way!

Our soldiers are asked to serve is some very difficult situations in foreign cultures. This is a case of a soldier who did the right thing within a politically charged environment. He should remain on active duty until his retirement.

This story should be unbelievable. Unfortunately it is believable. Fire General C. Haas instead. I support SFC Charles Martland.

This would be a major travesty to see this man not be able to continue his excellent work the he has performed for his country and his fellow citizens. Keep him at the helm.

It's awful what we are doing to our service people. We need them more than ever in history. We live in a very dangerous world and it getting worse every day. If they fire these people who is going to protect us???
