Really.... stop polluting our wonderful Hetch Hetchy water. It simply does not taste as good with the mixture of ground water.

I've lived in San Francisco since 1989 and always drank tap water. Now our water tastes terrible and I'm increasingly concerned that it's not safe to drink.
Like all people, San Franciscans deserve to be healthy. We need our local government to protect us from erosion of the public good for the sake of profit for outside interests.

Use of groundwater in an emergency is acceptable, but blending SF's Hetch Hetchy water on a regular basis is unacceptable. There was inadequate notice to the public that this change was under consideration.

it's crazy that SF diverted water from the Aquifer rather than use the abundant water from Hetch Hetchy. I can guarantee you that if SF continues to use aquifer water, salt water will get into the aquifer and SF will cause a regional disaster.

Considering that the Bay Area is known to have heavy metals contamination, it should be obvious that it is not a good idea to mix local ground water into the drinking water we receive from the Hetch Hetchy reservoir.

It's time for the Board of Supervisors, the Mayor, and the Public Utilities Commission to end the travesty of the SFPUC's wasting $66,000,000 of San Francisco water ratepayers' monies to degrade the pristine quality of the drinking water San Franciscans have come to expect since the City first received Hetch Hetchy Reservoir water in 1934. San Franciscans have sacrificed a lot over the years, including having their water rates treble to fund the retrofit of the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System, and by reducing their per capita consumption of water (both in wet years and dry years, alike) by a third, to be "rewarded" by the SFPUC by adding lower quality, minimally treated groundwater to our drinking water. By 2021, 15% of the water coming out of the taps of a majority of San Francisco households will be groundwater, and when the next drought is declared, groundwater from San Mateo County will go to the rest of the City not currently getting groundwater.
This madness must come to an end.

Listen to the reasons the community opposes this project and develop a more considerate and thoughtful plan that doesn't compromise the health of myself and my neighbors.

There are plenty of uses for groundwater that don't include mixing with our drinking water supply. End this program now.
