We cannot both condemn sexual harassment AND uphold Rose's honorary degree at the same time. Sexual assault stems from an abuse of power. By upholding Rose's honorary degree, we are contributing to his influence over people. Sewanee needs to step up as an institution and as a community. STOP giving special recognition to those who abuse that privilege of power.
