To the politicians copied on attached letter, PLEASE take a moment to simply consider the serious consequences that can result when the next time it is no longer a "near miss" rather a direct hit resulting from human error, mother nature, continued cutting corners, etc... Please help our city's fight against this continued carelessness and absolute disregard to our safety. WE WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE!!!

I hope you make a clear and appropriate decision on this matter as if the nuclear power plant at San Onofre was in your backyard, within miles from your closest family and friends. Understand that thousands of lives are at stake if another ‘near incident’ occurs and releases deadly nuclear waste. I ask is that you put in place extra precautions and procedures to protect our community from the potential disasters that could come from such an incident.

Hear these people out

There is no "remediation" for a nuclear accident. Expense and time spent cannot be a consideration when ensuring safety. No more handling of nuclear waste until concerns have been addressed to the everyone's satisfaction.

The NRC Special Investigation's scope, scale and phasing was scripted by Licensee Edison. NRC's Special Investigation didn't go fast enough, or far enough. Public stakeholders in reactor communities near San Onofre deserve, and demand more. Independent outside experts, such as Fairewinds (Arnie Gunderson), or Beyond Nuclear, or NIRS, or Tom English must be involved during NRC onsite walk downs at San Onofre during earliest stage.
