The evidence clearly shows that Ray Jennings was an outstanding person, who was also innocent of all charges. He should be released. The DA should reconsider this case.

Definitely not guilty, I watched to show over and over. I havnt seen any evidence to show beyond reasonable doubt- in fact there is lots of doubt and the whole Justice system should be in question after this. My favorite and only case of study

How many hung jurors does it take for us to realize there was a reasonable doubt twice?No evidence...None
I pray that the truth will be told and it will haunt the person or persons who did kill Michele O'keefe till they come clean....In the Name Iif Jesus...
This scares me that if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you can be convicted of murder...No evidence!!!!None

I watched this story on dateline. I'm sure facts were left out, if for no other purpose but time. There's only so much you can do in an hour. I was, however, surprised that there was no mention of the gun, either way. Was a gun of the type that killed the girl ever associated in any way with Jennimgs? Also, when the defense argued no GSR, does that mean there was no GSR test conducted, or does that mean one was conducted on Jennings, and Jennings passed? During the trials, did the defense present evidence the victim was involved with drugs, and were there other defense theories introduced during the third trial, like the one involving the Victoria girl? If so, were there any defense witnesses at trial to support either the drug dealer or the gang initiation theory? Has Jennings's case been submitted/presented to Project Innocence? Based upon what I saw on Dateline Mysteries, the pros in no way met its burden of proof. That said, I'm not shocked that sliced and diced evidence was used to convict someone. Best of luck!

This guy is innocent I believe. They went back to the same town that the murder took place..mr jennings was doing their jobs when he was telling what happen about the murders

Hopefully, that DNA will eventually convict the real killer. I have a feeling this guy is going to sit in jail until the DNA proves his innocence. I feel terrible for Michelle's family, but all this conviction did was leave five children without a father.

I'm watching this on Dateline right now. I dont think they satisfied the standard of "Beyond a reasonable doubt" in this case. As we've all now learned because of our exposure to the plethora of technology we have at our fingertips, anyone can cut and splice audio and video tape to make it tell the story they want it to tell. I think that is exactly what was done with this case.
That DNA from under her nails needs to be tested again. I've been in clubs and concerts..never came home with blood under my nails.
This truly seems like a family who wanted justice and investigators who couldn't find the culprit. So they decided to go with the easy answer.
I can't say this man is innocent.. I wasn't there. But after reading the attached information and watching this program. I think moving the trial back to the young ladies home was a tactical movement by the courts so they could tap into the emotions of the surrounding population and close a case that without their emotions and walk around that parking lot..would have ended up in another mistrial. The jurors should have never been in that parking lot. They were parents themselves..they stood in the place where that young lady died.. of course somebody was going to have to pay for the crime after that walk through.
Therefore this young man ended up to be the stand in for their local boogyman... So now the county won't have a unsolved case.. or have to worry about chasing down the harder to find killers

This ruling was an outrage and discrace to the criminal justice system.
