44,000 people in the UK lose their lives to sepsis every year. Every 3.5 seconds, someone in the world dies from sepsis.
We are calling on the Welsh Government to undertake a Sepsis Public Awareness Campaign to reduce unnecessary deaths and improve outcomes for survivors and all affected.
In memory of Chloe Christopher and everyone who has been affected by Sepsis in Wales.

I just refreshed the page and saw we hit 500 signatures which is honestly kind of surreal since this started as just a tiny idea while I was sitting at my kitchen table feeling hopeless. I keep thinking about how many people have been impacted by this and it makes me want to keep typing until someone in the government finally has to pay attention to us.

I was just looking at the counter and we happen to be creeping up toward 500 signatures which is honestly wild because if we hit that mark it puts us in a much better spot to get some real attention from the folks in the Welsh Government who clearly haven't been listening enough lately (the ones who keep ignoring the statistics about how fast this moves). If you could just ping this to a few people you know in your messages right now maybe we can finally push this over the top before the week is out.

I just blinked and saw the counter hit one hundred signatures which is honestly kind of surreal. My coffee is cold now but I honestly do not even care because it is amazing to see so many people starting to pay attention to this.

I’m signing this petition as this dreadful disease almost claimed my wife’s life, and if it wasn’t for a quick thinking consultant who had recently completed Sepsis training she wouldn’t be here today
If it wasn’t for Chloe’s mother telling hers and Chloe’s story and bringing more awearness of the symptoms, my mother would not be here. Keep doing what your doing and thank you!!
Far too many people are being maimed and killed by sepsis, yet ignorance of the symptoms remains high amongst the general population and healthcare workers alike. Sepsis kills more people than the combined total of deaths from breast, bowel and prostate cancers, road traffic accidents and HIV infection.
My 5 year old daughter also died of sepsis caused by an undiagnosed strep A infection nearly 9 years ago. Awareness has increased since then but there is a long way to go. Please help to stop lives being snatched away when they could be saved.
My grandma died of sepsis last year but it was put on her death certificate as newmonia. Sepsis is a silent killer but it’s not being notice due to it being left of death certificates. Well done for campaning about a very big topic thank you.
I nearly lost my life due to sepsis in August all thanks to 2 doctors failing to recognise my symptoms! There definitely needs to be an awareness to prevent so many people dying from sepsis!
As someone who has suffered but made a full recovery from Sepsis, it is vitally important to make people aware of the symptoms to stop unnecessary deaths and life changing conditions. We are Caldicot Male Voice Choir are raising donations in 2019 to help raise awareness. Please sign this petition.

My husband nearly died from severe septic shock. When I rang the out if hours GP service, his classic signs of sepsis were not flagged. This is appalling. If I hadn't decided to take him to A&E, he would no longer be here and my daughter would be without her father. This needs to change.
